In the artist's own words:
The Recruiting Center
One day I received a letter from the U.S. government which stated I am registered for U.S. military service. This was a surprise to me, since I am an international student in the U.S. on a VISA and without U.S. citizenship.  Even if I want to serve in the U.S. military, they would not allow me. I have found many other foreign students who have received the same letter, so out of curiosity, I decided to visit one of the recruiting centers near school to find out more. With a hidden camera, and without hesitation or fear, I recorded my interaction.

About the artist:
Myung-Soo Kim currently lives and works in Tempe, Ariz. Born in Korea, the artist is currently studying for his BFA in Intermedia at Arizona State University. His work was recently screened at Cornerstone Project Space, Tempe, Ariz.
