Art on the Edge of Fashion Performance

Wallace - Nesting pattern of the Carolina Weaver Bird

JENNIFER-MARIE WALLACE - "Nesting Patterns of the Carolina Weaver Bird" was an installation/performance that took place in the museum's American Gallery. Wallace was in a seated position, wearing a period dress with a skirt of cage-like panniers housing many nests. During the evening, Wallace remained seated as she carefully wove additional nests and placed them around her on top of the fabric of her skirt.
