Ceramics Research Center
Facts
The Ceramics Research Center (CRC) is part of the ASU Art Museum and houses a broad collection of ceramic arts, hosts lectures, events and studio tours, and is a research and study resource for students, faculty and scholars.
| Collection | 3,500 objects |
| Collecting and Exhibition Emphasis | 20th century and contemporary American and British ceramics |
| Educational and Community Outreach | Approximately 5,000 square feet of open storage and exhibition space allow collection access for students, scholars and the public for study and enjoyment. Contemporary ceramics is one of six stated areas of collection emphasis at the ASU Art Museum. We strive to acquire, through gift and purchase, artworks that are provocative and compelling, of aesthetic interest and/or of educational value. We now own one of the strongest collections of 20th century and contemporary American and British ceramics in the United States, and anticipate additional growth of the collection and of the Ceramics Research Center. |
