Image Licensing

General Information

All requests are subject to review and approval. Based on your project or publication, we may require more information once your request has been submitted. Costs vary and will be determined based on your use, available photography and preferred delivery method.

Advance payment is required - please allow a minimum of 2-3 weeks for processing after receipt of the signed licensing agreement with full payment. Requests for ten or more images may require additional time for processing.

Some works in our collection have not been photographed. In these cases, new photography of the work can be arranged pending the approval of the curator. Please allow additional time for this service.

Works of art appearing in the images, although owned by the museum, may be protected by copyright, publication rights or related interests that are not owned by the museum. The museum can not give permission that overrides or interferes with third party rights; it is your responsibility to obtain whatever copyright or other permissions may be required from the artist, his or her agent, his or her estate or any other third party rights holder.
