The Arizona State University Art Museum seeks
volunteers for Docent Program.
do·cent (dosent) n. a trained, professional volunteer who guides visitors of all ages to greater understanding and enjoyment of the Art Museum and its collections.

works of art?
Join the ASU Art Museum's dynamic volunteer docent corps and help visitors to the museum discover art in a new and exciting way. The museum collects and exhibits contemporary art, including experimental media and formats; crafts and prints; art by Arizona artists and the southwest region; and art from Latin America and by Latino artists. Museum docents participate in a variety of educational programming such as leading tours, welcoming visitors, helping customers in the award-winning Museum Store, supporting staff in research, hosting special events and assisting school-age children with hands-on art projects. A docent has a very important and highly valued role at the museum. Docents are the individuals who provide positive, informative, and rewarding museum experiences for thousands of children and adults each year.
The museum asks its docents for a commitment of time and effort, enthusiasm, and a positive and supportive attitude. In return, we offer the benefits of interacting with artists, scholars and museum staff; developing and expanding public speaking skills; broadening your knowledge of art and art history; a sense of achievement in working with the public and the rewards of working in a warm and friendly environment.
Absolutely no experience is necessary.
This volunteer program is designed to provide an enjoyable
art experience for both the public and participating volunteers. If you have
