ASU Art Museum Community Volunteers must:
- Be ASU Art Museum members (waived for students). Benefits can include advance notice of exhibitions and special events, Museum Store discounts, and invitations to exclusive gatherings prior to exhibition openings.
- Attend required orientation sessions.
- Be familiar with and follow the Museum’s philosophy, policies & procedures.
- Be prompt and reliable in reporting for scheduled work and orientation sessions.
- Notify the office 24 hours in advance if unable to work as specified.
- Record and report all hours of volunteer services.
- Wear a nametag during meetings, training sessions and while representing the ASU Art Museum in an official capacity.
- Dress appropriately when representing the ASU Art Museum.
ASU Art Museum Docents & Docent-Volunteers must:
GIVE an average of 2 tours per month or 100 service hours annually; Student Docents (SAMS) GIVE 25 service hours per semester.
- Be ASU Art Museum members (waived for SAMS). Benefits can include advance notice of exhibitions and special events, Museum Store discounts, and invitations to exclusive gatherings prior to exhibition openings.
- Complete all training sessions and regularly attend docent-volunteer meetings.
- Be familiar with and follow the Museum’s philosophy, policies & procedures.
- Be prompt and reliable in reporting for scheduled work and training sessions.
- Notify the office 24 hours in advance if unable to work as specified.
- Record and report all hours of volunteer services.
- Wear a nametag during meetings, training sessions and while representing the ASU Art Museum in an official capacity.
