Program Parameters

SAMS must:
- Fill out an application and attend an initial Program orientation session
- Successfully complete a semester-long training course
- Commit to at least 25 hours of service during the course of one (1) semester. Service hours will be scheduled on a bi-weekly basis (approx. 2 hours per week for 12-13 weeks).
- Be prompt and reliable in reporting for scheduled work and training sessions
- Notify the office 24 hours in advance if unable to work as specified.
- Be familiar with and follow the Museum’s philosophy, policies & procedures
- Record and report all hours of service
- Participate in any required continuing education sessions
- Wear assigned attire while representing the ASU Art Museum in an official capacity, including nametag and uniform
- Observe standard hygienic standards while representing the ASU Art Museum.
- Be respectful, sensitive and courteous to Museum staff, security, docents, volunteers, fellow students, tour audiences and general visitors while representing the ASU Art Museum
- Immediately inform the Museum of any physical or medical limitations
that might affect one’s ability to perform tasks
