Visiting the ASU Art Museum with your group
The ASU Art Museum offers one-hour tours to students and community groups. An optional hands-on component, relating to the exhibitions, adds 15 minutes to the hour tour. The exhibitions and collections at the ASU Art Museum offer many curriculum connections for classroom use in the concentrations of visual arts, language arts and social studies. Critical-thinking skills are emphasized as students are guided through the museum.

Scheduling a Tour
Two weeks' notice is requested to schedule a guided tour. Self-guided tours require a one-week notice. Weekend tours must be requested four weeks in advance. Tours are available Tuesday–Saturday during open hours 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., Tuesdays until 8 p.m. and also during our Educator Hours, Mondays, Tuesday–Thursday 9–11 a.m. A minimum of ten people is required to schedule a tour, with a maximum of 90 people. Students should be at least four years of age. Groups should be accompanied by at least one adult for every 10 to 15 students. Confirmation
You will receive a confirmation letter or phone call from the ASU Art Museum at least one week prior to your visit. If this is your first group tour of the museum, ask about our pre-visit information packet.

Special needs
The ASU Art Museum is accessible to all visitors. Please notify the staff of any special needs or concerns when scheduling a tour.

Parking /Bus
Cars or vans are encouraged to park in one of the museum's spaces in Tempe Center (northeast corner of Mill Avenue and 10th Street). Please be sure to write your license plate number in the parking log at the lobby desk.

Buses may drop off or pick up groups at the museum's front driveway, which faces Mill Avenue, or along the sidewalk parallel to 10th Street. During the duration of the tour, buses must park in Lot #59 next to ASU's football stadium.

Lunch Facilities
There are no group lunch facilities in the ASU Art Museum, but in good weather there are several outdoor areas and restaurants located close to the museum.

Cancellation
Please call the ASU Art Museum at 480.965.2787 at least 24 hours in advance for cancellations. ASU Art Museum tours are dependent on volunteer docents that need to be alerted to cancellations or rescheduling.
