ARACELI HERRERA: Mexico Through the Lens
In collaboration with ASU's Virginia G. Piper Center for Creative Writing, the ASU Art Museum is proud to host Araceli Herrera: Mexico Through the Lens, an exhibition featuring several black and white images of Mexican life as seen by photojournalist Araceli Herrera. Organized by Dr. Miriam Haddu, lecturer in Hispanic Studies at the University of London, both Dr. Haddu and the artist will be visiting ASU this fall in conjunction with the exhibition and Piper Center programming.

Film Screening
On September 13, the documentary film, Return to Chiapas - a photographer on the road, featuring Herrera and filmed and directed by Athena Mandis of the David Glass Ensemble will be shown at Hayden Library, followed by a reception and Curator/Artist- led gallery talk at the ASU Art Museum, 8:30-9:30 p.m.

ASU Art Museum Presentation
Originally organized by Dr. Miriam Haddu, lecturer in Hispanic Studies at the University of London, Araceli Herrera: Mexico Through the Lens will be installed in the Arizona State University Art Museum's Nelson Fine Arts Center location, multi-purpose room.

Duration
Araceli Herrera: Mexico Through the Lens (Aug. 6 through Oct. 8, 2005) is open at the ASU Art Museum: Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
