Location: Wall Areas Throughout the Museum

Walls can be spaces of comfort and rest, places against which to lean when one's legs become tired from supporting the weight of the entire body. But what if walls, essentially functional spaces, could become places of potential physical pleasure as well? Wall Ticklers is a series of pearl corsage pin sculptures, strategically mounted on walls at pelvic level. The sculptures, which second as mini-massagers, provide "wall leaners" with an alternative to mere leaning, turning the vertical spaces into an experience of ultimate relaxation.

Angela Ellsworth received a MFA in Painting and Performance from Rutgers State University of New Jersey. Her recent projects include: Frank’s Ticker, collaboration with Stephen Brown Dance Company, Wagner Center for the Arts, Salt Lake City, UT; Remnants, Museum of Contemporary Art, Tucson, AZ; Reflections, Barlow and Straker, Phoenix, AZ;Flat, Jay Villa’s, Scottsdale, AZ; Club Extra, ASU Art Museum, Tempe, AZ; performance/installation/mixed media work for the exhibition Out of the Closet, Salt Lake Art Center, Salt Lake City, UT; Squeak and Clean, performance/installation with Tina Takemoto, Barlow and Straker, Phoenix, AZ; waist/waste room, performance for opening reception of the ASU Art Museum exhibition Art on the Edge of Fashion; and Actual Odor, performance for reception of the ASU Art Museum exhibition Token City.
