JAUNE QUICK-TO-SEE SMITH: Paintings and Prints
Through a rich combination of abstract and realistic imagery Jaune Quick-To-See Smith: Paintings and Prints highlights her concern for the destruction of the environment and government devastation of native cultures and myths. This exhibition and Contemporary Native American Ceramics from Local Collections at the Ceramics Research Center are offered in conjunction with the Native American Art Studies Association (NAASA) conference hosted by Arizona State University and the Heard Museum, October 26-29, 2005. About the Artist
Jaune Quick-To-See Smith was born in 1940. She received her BA in art education at Farmingham State College in Massachusetts before earning an MA in Art from the University of New Mexico. Her work is in permanent museum collections around the world, including the Arizona State University Art Museum.

Organized by Jean Makin, Jaune Quick-To-See Smith: Paintings and Prints will be installed in the Arizona State University Art Museum's Nelson Fine Arts Center location.

Duration
Jaune Quick-To-See Smith: Paintings and Prints (October 25, 2005 through January 28, 2006) is open at the ASU Art Museum: Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
