May 8-10, 2008

Organized by the ASU Herberger College of the Arts and the ASU Art Museum

Join renowned local architect Eddie Jones and ASU Herberger College of the Arts staff to enjoy “a rich architectural legacy, with spectacularly edgy mid-century modern structures fueled by the Oil Boom of the 1920’s and 1930’s.”

Includes a private tour of residences by 20th c. American maverick architect Bruce Goff remembered for his bold stylistic language and use of utilitarian materials, and two nights at the Price Tower Arts Center and Inn, the only skyscraper by Frank Lloyd Wright and a National Historic Landmark. We will also visit the Tall Grass Prairie Preserve which covers 38,300 acres of land dedicated to the rich cultural history of the tallgrass prairie ecosystem and is home to a host of wildlife including white-tailed deer, coyotes and more than 2,000 bison, and visit large private collections of contemporary art in Tulsa.
