Welcome to ASU Art Museum

Welcome to ASU Art Museum

Arte para todos. Art for all.

What if centering social justice restored public trust in museums? What if museums, designed to honor objects, change their model to honor people?

With a social justice and equity lens and the experimental, scholarly nature of the university art museum, ASU will have a meteoric impact on museums in the future. The museum harnesses the university’s breadth and depth of expertise to pioneer new models for arts learning, engagement and innovation that integrates relevancy, trust and resilient communities with museum institutions.

Dear ASU Art Museum friends and members,

As we continue to monitor the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the health and safety of our community continues to be our top priority. In order to limit the community spread of COVID-19, the ASU Art Museum has decided to temporarily pause its offerings to the public at our two museum locations, beginning March 17, until further notice. All events and programs at the museum and Ceramics Research Center are now canceled or will be postponed until further notice. We appreciate your understanding as we do our part in mitigating the spread of this virus.

While we will miss seeing you in the museum, follow us on social media — Facebook, Instagram and Twitter — to experience the ASU Art Museum digitally, stay engaged and get a behind-the-scenes look at our collection. During this time we are exploring innovative ways to make our collection available in interesting ways. Look forward to updates on how you can engage with the museum during this event.

Our staff is still working and available. If you have questions, contact us at asuartmuseum@asu.edu or 480-965-2787.

Building Community in Times of Uncertainty

Thank you for your ongoing support of the ASU Art Museum. The decision to close our doors was a difficult one. It will not only have an impact on the communities we serve and those who rely on our programming but also on our financial sustainability going forward. Your support is vital to our future during this unprecedented moment. If you are able, please consider donating to the ASU Art Museum or becoming a member today. Your gift during this time of uncertainty will help shape the future of arts and culture at ASU, in the wider Phoenix Metro Valley and in Arizona.
