About the Artist Residency program

Overview

Established in 2011, the ASU Art Museum Artist Residency is a central reference and connection point for students, artists and cultural institutions in the Phoenix Metro area and encourages collaboration with research partners working in an array of disciplines at institutions across the region. Our Artist Residency offers a unique opportunity for emerging and established artists to develop and experiment with new bodies of work. We encourage artists to share their ideas with a new community over an extended period of time. Artists selected for the residency have a multi-disciplinary practice with a strong record of process-based, community and collaborative projects in order to explore forms of engagement and to develop socially-based, laboratory-type art projects.

Resident artists and scholars are invited by the ASU Art Museum. There is no application process.
